Evaluations

Evaluations are typically defined as 1 or 2 visits with a CAPS clinician to evaluate the problem and formulate a treatment plan if needed. Students can come in for an evaluation regarding a range of concerns, including the following:

 
  • Anxiety (such as test anxiety)
  • Depression
  • Stress (such as academic stress)
  • Eating & body image concerns
  • Low self-esteem
  • Substance use and abuse
  • Difficulty adjusting to college
  • Isolation and loneliness
  • Difficulty in relationships
  • Sexual assault
  • Other traumatic experiences
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Bereavement
  • Concerns around racial, ethnic, cultural and sexual identity
  • Family problems
