Fall and Spring Premium Rate Fees and Coverage Dates

Student Health Insurance 2016 - 2017 Plan Year

MANDATORY COVERAGE RATES, TERM OF COVERAGE DATES, AND OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD

Eligible students are mandated coverage only once per academic year.  Approximately 14,000 students are eligible in the Fall semester for the annual Plan (regardless of their subsequent Spring semester registration status) and an additional 1,000 students become eligible for the first time during the academic year in the Spring semester.  The premium rates - that include an administrative fee up to $72, Terms of Coverage dates, and the dates for the applicable Open Enrollment Period are below.  If you are an undergraduate student, receiving  financial aid, and are accepting the Premier Plan contact the financial aid office to determine if you qualify for an increase in funding.  Prorated refunds are not granted.

Fall 2016-2017 Plan Year:

Term of Coverage: 8/15/2016 - 8/14/2017
Applicable Open Enrollment Period: Late June - September 15, 2016

  • $4,920 per student and spouse or student and one child
  • $7,380 per student and two or more children
  • $7,380 per student, spouse, and one child
  • $9,840 per student, spouse, and two or more children

Spring 2016-2017 Plan Year:

Term of Coverage: 1/1/2017 - 8/14/2017
Applicable Open Enrollment Period: 2nd week in December 2016 - January 31, 2017

  • $1,560 per student
  • $3,120 per student and spouse or student and one child
